Job Description
Senior Recruiter
Job Purpose
Work with the Elan Defence Account Managers and/or Onsite Team to deliver a resourcing service that ensures overall targets are met or exceeded
Responsibilities
* Responsible for own targets
* Point of contact for onsite team or Elan Defence Account Managers
* Writing productivity reports
* Helping to develop Recruiters through mentoring, on the job and classroom training
* Undertake management of third party suppliers
* Deputise for Recruiting Manager
* Chair weekly/monthly team meetings
* Networking with applicants to generate more candidates.
* Carry out searches on the system
* Picking up leads from applicants over the phone or face to face.
* Meeting Elan Defence account managers or onsite teams for forecasting, pipelining and quarterly reviews
* Undertake candidate telephone interviews in order to identify a short list. This may necessitate evening work and occasional weekends.
* Preparing CVs and Cover Sheets for presentation to Clients, and ensuring quality levels are sufficient for Client inspection.
* Taking references for candidates
* Chasing Elan Defence Account Managers or Onsite Teams for feedback on CVs as required
* Preparing applicants for interviews
* Booking interviews with client/candidates as required.
* Making offers and closing/signing up Candidates/Clients.
* Completion of placement forms and Elan KPI information
* Senior Recruiters are targeted to attain 6 placements per month
* Record Keeping and Administration
* Maintaining client and applicant records to the standards laid down by the Employment Agencies Act and the Quality Management System
* Ensuring that any client/vacancy requirements are adequately recorded
* Recording details of the recruitment
* Providing day-to-day point of escalation for all contractor queries (if applicable), resourcing issues, payment and legal queries
* As required, socialise with applicants and clients in the evening
* Undertake all duties in accordance with the laid down procedures in the Quality Assurance Manual
* Ensure that own areas of work are serviced and covered thoroughly and efficiently
* Provide advice on market conditions
* Any other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the appropriate agent/team leader or Manager
* Ensure 90% of positions are filled via self-source methods
Qualification: Degree level qualification
Experience:
At least 4-years work experience in a Recruiter role, with demonstrable potential to progress into account management or sales and ability to mentor and coach others
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
* Good reasoning skills and ability to screen and eventually interview applicants and make sound judgements on suitability
* Excellent telephone skills
* Reasonable presentation skills
* Reasonable knowledge of the market place and of competitors
* Basic negotiation skills
* Ability to project professionalism and personality over the phone and face to face
